ABOUT ME
Designing and crafting is my life’s passion. I love to explore how things work and fit together so that I can either replicate or improve it. From what my mom tells me, this curiosity started at a young age with me taking the handles off all of the windows in the house. I was around two years old. She laughs about it now, but I’m certain she didn’t find it amusing at the time.
This curiosity and mechanical aptitude continued as I grew, fueled not only by my natural ability but also by necessity. Growing up, when we wanted something we had to build it; when something broke, we were handed the user manual and told to fix it. One of my earliest memories was at the age of 10, building an entire band, guitars, drumset and keyboard, entirely out of wood with my younger brother and cousin. This skill helped to keep us out of trouble a bit too since when we broke something, we could fix it before my dad got home from work. I can’t tell you how many times we rode our bikes to Ace Hardware to get a pane of glass to repair a broken window.
I have an associate’s degree in architectural design and a bachelor’s degree in construction management. My professional career includes running the hospitality team for Don Schumacher Racing, building a successful handyman business with my brother and working as a construction superintendent for a custom home builder. In 2018, after some encouragement from my wife, I decided to take a leap and leave the corporate world to fulfill one of my lifelong dreams: building custom furniture that stands the test of time.
I grew up in Park Ridge and now live in Mount Prospect with my wife and our two children. I volunteer with the Beat Tom and Bill Foundation manning the grill at the annual golf outing and cooking at hosted private dinners auctioned off at the event.
My hope is to bring each and every person I work with joy by creating a masterpiece that exceeds their wildest dreams.
Tell me what you’re looking for and I’ll bring that vision to life.
